Dublin ranked number two on Holidu's list of 10 Most Popular European City Breaks for 2024.

Whether you want to indulge in the finest Italian cuisine in Rome, stroll the chic boulevards of Paris, or enjoy Irish trad music in a pub, there’s a European city for every traveler. 

To help you decide where to go, the travel experts at holiday rental booking portal Holidu put together a list of the must-visit European cities for 2024.

Looking at the 300 most populous cities in Europe, researchers analyzed Google searches from the past 12 months to reveal the cities people are most eager to visit. 

Dublin, the capital city of the Republic of Ireland, secured its spot as the second most popular city break location in Europe, with 64,000 searches per month.

Holidu suggests travelers stop at the ever popular Guinness Storehouse, the brewery experience that tells the tale of Ireland's world-loved beer, complete with tastings and a rooftop bar. 

Amsterdam, in The Netherlands, with its coffee shops, vintage flea markets and canal cruises, was named the most desired city break destination for 2024. The Dutch capital had 91,200 searches per month.

Paris, France took third place on the list, followed by Barcelona, Spain, in fourth place. Rome, Italy, rounded out the top five.
