Hurling is the fastest game on grass … as well as the toughest!

This is certainly one in a million!

A freak hurling accident in Dublin this week landed one hurling player with some pictures, and presumably a scar, to last a lifetime.

Joe.ie shared images sent in by Eoghan Ó Conghaile of the recent bizarre accident that took place during a hurling match between Lucan senior hurlers and the Dublin under-19s.

The pictures show hurler Paul Crummy from Lucan Sarsfields with the casing from a hurling helmet pierced through his skin and lodged into his arm.

Thankfully medical staff was on-hand to assist Crummy before getting him to the hospital. Tough as they come, Crummy is hoping to be back on the GAA pitch by the end of the week.
