Giovanni Trapattoni has named his team for the crunch Group 8 World Cup Qualifier against Italy in Croke Park on Saturday.

The Italian picked a familiar back four, with Shay Given guarding the sticks and Manchester United's John O'Shea fills the right full back berth. Richard Dunne, who shook off a knock that kept him out of training earlier in the week, partners Sean St. Ledger in the center of defense, while Kevin Kilbane takes up the left full back position.

Given and Kilbane will both be making their 99th appearance for Ireland on Saturday, and a clean sheet would undoubtedly be the best way to celebrate that incredible number of caps.

Trap has stumped once again on the center midfield partnership of Glenn Whelan and Keith Andrews. Celtic's Aiden McGeady will hope to terrorize the Italians on the left wing and Stoke's Liam Lawrence gets his chance after injury ruled Damien out on the right.

Robbie Keane and Kevin Doyle lead the attack.

Republic of Ireland team:

Shay Given, John O'Shea, Richard Dunne, Sean St. Ledger, Kevin Kilbane, Liam Lawrence, Glenn Whelan, Keith Andrews, Aiden McGeady, Kevin Doyle, Robbie Keane.
