Is it time for the Dublin UFC champ to join the ranks of WWE following in the footsteps of Ronda Rousey and Vince McMahon?

Conor McGregor “is destined for pro wrestling, which is the only place his outrageous marketing shtick will survive,” USA Today writer Josh Peter has predicted.

After his crushing defeat “Conor McGregor should get a head start on where his career is headed and stage a press conference with Ronda Rousey and Vince McMahon,” says Peter.

Peter says a rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov should take place but then McGregor should move to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

The USA Today commentator says given the whipping he got there is “no compelling evidence to suggest he has any chance of defeating Nurmagomedov” who improved his record to 27-0.

“We lost the match but won the battle,’’ McGregor tweeted after his defeat to Nurmagomedov. “The war goes on.’’

The war is in McGregor’s head, says USA Today. Like Ronda Rousey who was once dominant in UFC but lost her last fights badly, McGregor needs to move to WWE.
