One Direction performing at MSG
Despite a sell out world tour, performing for the Queen and during the Olympics, One Direction enjoyed “the best night” of their lives, when they opened at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Monday night.

After the sell out Big Apple show, Mullingar native Niall Horan tweeted to his eight million plus fans: “Wow, Madison Square Garden, thank you soo much! It was the best night of our lives! Thank you, thank you, thank you ! #1DinMSG [SIC].”

“This place is bloody huge,” gushed Harry Styles during the show.

“This is my dream,” added Louis Tomlinson.

During their 90 minute performance the hit-makers delivered songs from their two sell out albums.

Ed Sheeran opened for the teen sensations on Monday night and later returned to the stage to perform the hit track “Little Things” which he penned.
