Nancy Grace

The unexpected success of Team MacGrace on ABC’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ thus far has not come without a price for television host Nancy Grace. The partner of Irishman Tristan MacManus claims to be “black and blue” from some intense practice sessions.

"Remember the part of the Paso where I fall down "dead?" We worked on that sequence endlessly, and I believe I was dragged on the ground at least 150 times in the process ... my whole left side is black and blue!" said Grace as reported by Entertainment on Gather.

Additionally, in her weekly blog, Grace notes how she pulled her hamstring after some repeated splits during practice session with Tristan, as well as blowing out her kneecap which called for a run to the doctor.

But the black-and-blues are paying off by way of solid performances and a guaranteed next round of competition. "My dance partner Tristan wanted me to bring fire, aggression, and passion to our Paso, and I think we delivered!" said Grace speaking of her motivational partner.

After falling into the bottom three couples as ranked by the judges last week, Nancy and Tristan narrowly escaped being voted off after Chynna and Vaughan were voted off by the public. So far, four couples have been voted off.
