U2 shattered two records in the U.S. Sunday night.
They scored the highest attendance ever of 96,000 people at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles and became the first major band to broadcast their concert live over the web - for free.
A record 7 million viewers from 16 countries are believed to have watched the concert live on YouTube from U2's monster 360 Tour.
Bono gave a shout-out to everyone watching the concert when he took the stage.
"Thank you Los Angeles. Thanks to everyone watching on YouTube all over the world - seven continents!”
Google, which owns YouTube, is expected to release the official figures later today but they have already said that the concert's landing page recorded 7 million "channel views."
The concert was also the top global-trending topic on Twitter while it was being broadcast.
The band's success opens up a potential revenue stream for both YouTube and the band itself.
And for those of us who love live music (but hate the trekking involved) this could be a real revolution.
Bose is already selling wireless speakers which can deliver stadium sound so all I need is YouTube, a big screen and some tolerant neighbors.
Where next?
