Practically a whole street in Dublin’s up and coming district of Stoneybatter is to be auctioned with a reserve price of only €850,000 ($900,000).

Numbers 2 & 4 Kirwan Street Cottages off Manor Street and 20, 23, 24, 25, 26, 34, 41 Kirwan Street in Dublin 7 were originally built in the 1900’s and the nine handsome red brick houses, each with two bedrooms, are due under the hammer this Tuesday, December 13th at 8am (Irish time) in the Allslop online auction.

Bear in mind, although each house individually would be reserved at €94,444 ($89,620) each they cannot be bought separately and must be sold as lot.

Anyone eyeing a bargain should also be warned that the houses are what you might describe as “fixer uppers” and most of the interest in the lot has come from builders. All but one of the houses on the lot currently lie vacant.

Located only half an hour walk from Dublin city center, Stoneybatter’s popularity as an area has increased in recent years due to the connection of Dublin’s Luas (tram) lines in the area and up to 70 people have already viewed the lot this week alone.

With that in mind it’s likely to sell for more than €850,000 and some are estimating it could go for up to €2 million.
