How Kimberly Guilfoyle has gone from "The New Kennedys" to the "Donberlys."

Kimberly Guilfoyle, the Irish-American beau of Donald Trump Jr., seems to have made a complete about-face in her career.

In 2004, Harper’s Bazaar issued an eight-page spread on Kimberly Guilfoyle and her then-new husband Gavin Newsom, the mayor of San Francisco.

“One of the most glamorous political unions since Jack and Jackie,” the magazine declared of Kimberly and Gavin. Their 2001 wedding was called “the social event of the year” by the San Francisco Chronicle.

More than a wife, Kimberly enjoyed a successful career as a prosecutor, although she was sometimes referred to as “the babe of the San Francisco bar.” Former colleagues described her as “down-to-earth, classy” and as someone who had the “utmost integrity” in her work.

Guilfoyle and Newsom’s combined ambitions coupled with their undeniable good looks made them a hot item to follow.

Fast forward 14 years and a lot has changed. Kimberly, now amicably divorced from Newsom, is again making headlines for her high-profile companion, the newly-divorced Donald Trump, Jr.

While Guilfoyle, whose father immigrated to the U.S. from Co Clare in Ireland, used to campaign with her famously progressive ex-husband Newsom, she is now a fixture at Trump rallies.

Guilfoyle says she has always been a Republican and registered with the party when she was 18 years old.

“I have fully recovered from San Francisco,” Guilfoyle said before heading on stage to introduce Vice President Mike Pence at a recent Cincinnati rally.

Guilfoyle became a household name when she became a television personality on Court TV. In 2006, she transitioned to Fox News, where she was a crime show host presenter until 2011 before she was added into the "The Five" program.

Guilfoyle was a fixture at Fox News until this summer, when she was either let go or chose to leave. Rumors cloud her departure, some of which stem from Roger Ailes drama.

Still, Guilfoyle finds herself in the spotlight while on the arm of Donald Trump, Jr. She frequents Trump rallies across the country and finds herself on the inner circle of the Trump White House.

On the 4th of July, Guilfoyle posted an Instagram of her and Trump, Jr holding hands at the White House, which The Washington Post calls “a symbolic portrait of Fox News hand in hand with the Trump family.”

It’s anyone’s guess as to what the future hold for Guilfoyle and Trump, Jr., but Kimberly foresees a “Brady Bunch” type arrangement amongst their families. However, theirs will be, as Kimberly says, “The Donberly Bunch.”
