A four-year-old girl was killed last Friday after falling off of a tractor in a farm near Killeigh, County Offaly. The young girl, named Maria McInerney, is said to have been playing on the tractor at her grandfather’s home when she suddenly slipped, fell and hit her head.

She was rushed over to the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

The family united in tragedy, paid tribute to the memory of the “sparkling brown eyed” child by collecting her favorite toys to be buried with her at Monday morning’s funeral, reports the Belfast Telegraph
