Watching the Eurovision Song Contest has long been one of my guilty pleasures - the songs are awful, the costumes garish and the choreography is horrifyingly kitschy. And there’s always the possibility that one of the countries will send a turkey puppet, as Ireland did in 2008 with Dustin the Turkey (Irlande Douze Points!).

Well, this year, the Emerald Isle might actually be in with a chance. Tipperary-born student Molly Sterling has been chosen to represent the country with her ballad “Playing with Numbers.”

It’s a nice change from the cringe-inducing performances of Jedward in Eurovision 2011 and 2012 (though to be fair, Ireland was obviously trying very hard NOT to win).

Here's Sterling’s performance of the song on The Late Late Show:

Could Molly Sterling win the Eurovision again for Ireland?
