President Trump’s press secretary revealed she’s some Irish McCain blood on her mother's side and that she took a trip to Galway and Dublin.

President Trump’s current press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders gave a brief interview to the Irish Independent last Thursday in the middle of the St. Patrick’s festivities at the White House in which she revealed she’s got some Irish McCain blood from her mother. She also took a trip to Galway and Dublin a few years back.

Sanders also said that Trump must have enjoyed hosting then Taoiseach Enda Kenny in the White House last year, or else the 2018 events would have likely gone down the drain.

"I think the president has an interest in Ireland. I think he likes the tradition of St. Patrick's Day at the White House. It's a mix of both a serious discussion early in the day, paired with something more light-hearted and fun in the evening," she said.

"I think he enjoyed it last year. If he hadn't he probably wouldn't have done it again."

Given his friendly meetings with Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, it seems a sure thing that 2019 at the White House will be a given.
