Sober Seventeenth aims to raise money this St. Patrick’s Day to support those with families and young children, those in recovery, and those who can’t be in the crowded pubs this March 17.

If you like to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a Guinness or a glass of Jameson, “you’re lucky enough” and Sober St Patrick’s Day hope you enjoy yourself. However, this March 17 the Sober Seventeenth ask that the Irish and Irish loving community consider the many people who won’t, can’t, or shouldn’t drink alcohol on St. Patrick’s Day.

Sober St Patrick’s Day are looking for 17 people to give $17.00 each – whether you’re drunk or sober or somewhere in between – to support those with families and young children, those in recovery, and those who can’t be in the crowded pubs on St. Patrick’s Day.

Sober St Patrick’s Day will list your name on a special page in the program book, the 17 for the 17th page. Sober Seventeenth Inc. and The LCADA Way will present the 6th Annual St. Patrick’s Day party on Sunday, March 17th, 2019 from 5pm to 8pm at Ahern’s Banquet Center in Avon Lake.

Sober Seventeenth is an alcohol-free celebration of Ireland’s patron saint in New York. Sober Seventeenth offer genuine Irish music, dance, and culture on March 17th – all are welcome whether they are Irish or not, in recovery or not.

St. Patrick’s Day need not be an excuse for excessive drinking or just an occasion for liquor industry promotions. Sober Seventeenth challenges the stereotype and offers a safe yet fun alternative. Sober Seventeenth enhances community safety, prevents relapse, reduces binge drinking and drunk driving, and creates special memories for families.
