LIVE: Leitrim defeat New York by one point 0-19 to 1-15 in thrilling match

It’s one of the biggest days of the year for New York GAA and IrishCentral will be at the heart of the action.

At 2.15pm on Sunday, May 6, the New York team will kick off against Leitrim, hoping to bag their first ever win of the All-Ireland football Championship. New York has played in the Connacht Senior Football Championship since 1999 but many believe this to be the greatest shot the team has of getting past the first hurdle and so anticipation and excitement is high in Gaelic Park, the Bronx sports ground that acts as the home of GAA in New York.
