Chelsea Clinton has landed a new job as a special correspondent for NBC News. The daughter of former President Bill Clinton and the current U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, married Marc Mezvinsky, an investment banker last year.

The 31-year-old is going to work in a series that highlights improving the lives of people in their communities through the NBC Nightly News series ‘Making a Difference’. She plans to donate all her earnings to charity.

“She wants to be in the field for the shoot and in the edit room for the edit,” Steve Capus  told the New York Times.

“We both want to see how this goes. It will be full time for the near-term future. But I hope it’s the beginning of a nice, long-term relationship.”

In a statement through NBC the notoriously private Clinton said: "People who imagine and implement solutions to challenges in their own lives, in their communities, in our country and in our world have always inspired me. I hope telling stories through 'Making a Difference' – as in my academic work and non-profit work – will help me to live my grandmother’s adage of 'Life is not about what happens to you, but about what you do with what happens to you.' "
