Irish American author Kevin O'Hara - a regular contributor to IrishCentral - has published "A Christmas Journey: Sixteen Stories, Volume 2."

The new collection follows on from O'Hara's 2021 book "A Christmas Journey," published by The Berkshire Eagle, where he has been a longtime columnist.

O'Hara - also the acclaimed author of "Last Of The Donkey Pilgrims," "A Lucky Irish Lad," and "Ins and Outs of a Locked Ward" - has shared several stories with IrishCentral about his Irish American upbringing and his fascinating travels across Ireland with his donkey, Missie.

In 2012, O'Hara was the proud recipient of the John F. Kennedy National Award for being “an outstanding American of Irish descent.”

In the new "A Christmas Journey: Sixteen Stories, Volume 2," readers can journey back to the heart of the Berkshires and beyond across 16 stories, including some Irish-inspired tales.

Beautifully illustrated by fellow Berkshire talent David King, this volume offers a rich tapestry of Yuletide experiences, from the whimsical to the deeply moving.

Inside, O'Hara shares captivating stories that span his life, including nostalgic reflections on growing up in Pittsfield, poignant anecdotes from his decades as a psychiatric nurse at Berkshire Medical Center, and a unique Christmas celebration in an Irish pub following his famous travels with Missie the donkey.

The book captures the true, heartwarming spirit of Christmas through O'Hara's simple, evocative storytelling.
