Teen sensation Miley Cyrus, star of Disney’s “Hannah Montana,” will provide her Irish fans with the perfect Christmas gift: her first concert appearance in Ireland.

It’s just been announced that on December 16 and 17, the actress/singer/tabloid-headliner will take the stage at Dublin’s O2 concert arena.

The two Dublin shows follow a 43-city arena tour North American tour from September to December and two shows in London. During this tour, Miley will appear strictly as herself; there won’t be any cameos from her “Hannah Montana” alter-ego this time around.

The 16-year-old pop star’s show will be opened by her brother Trace Cyrus’ band Metro Station, who’s song “Shake It” topped the charts in 2008.

Teen queen Miley, born Destiny Hope Cyrus, is the daughter of country crooner of “Achy Breaky Heart” fame Billy Ray Cyrus.

The young star shot to fame with the hit Disney Channel series “Hannah Montana,” which most recently spawned a successful movie spin-off, “Hannah Montana: The Movie.”

Cyrus went on to launch a thriving solo music career with the release of her album “Meet Miley Cyrus” in 2007.

Her second album, “Breakout,” was released in 2008. Both debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts.

The starlet has been listed in both Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in The World and Forbes’ Celebrity 100 list, with earnings of over $25 million in 2008.

Tickets for the Miley Cyrus’ Dublin concerts will go on sale next Friday, June 12 at 9am from from all Ticketmaster outlets Nationwide. Tickets are strictly limited to four per booking.
