A survey carried out for the British TV station, Channel 4, showed that Ronan Keating's cover version of Shane MacGowan's "Fairy Tale of New York" is the worst cover version of all time.

The Boyzone singer came in first with Britney Spears and her version of "I Love Rock n' Roll" following closely behind.

Always clean cut, Keating changed the famous line in the song, "you cheap lousy faggot" to "you're cheap and you're haggard". This infuriated fans of the Christmas classic.

The British band, Muse, won the best cover of all time with their rendition of Nina Simone's "Feeling Good". Also in the best covers list were the Clash, Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Buckley.
