You may sleep with the lights on, after watching this trailer for "The Cured", starring Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (yes, that's Nidge from "Love/Hate") and Ellen Page.

David Freyne's new psycho-thriller brings together a stellar cast including "Juno" actress Ellen Page and Irish heavy weights such as Tom Vaughan-Lawlor and Sam Keeley.

The movie features a world inhabited by virus-stricken, ravenous zombies. Keeley plays a young man called Senan, supposedly "cured" of his cannibalistic-like behavior. Senan is welcomed back home by his widowed sister-in-law (played by the award-winning Page) but unable to free himself of the guilt of his former actions.

After showing at the Toronto International Film Festival, the movie received unanimously positive reviews.

Hollywood Reporter deemed performances from the entire cast as "strong" and praised Freyne's latest endeavor:

"They’re classic jump-out-of-your-seat moments that rely a lot on heavy sound effects, but they manage to be effective, building toward an explosive third act that brings the pain in the manner of 28 Days and other stalwarts of the genre," critic Jordan Mintzer wrote.
