Susan Boyle capped off a sensational year with a remarkable appearance on Japan's biggest Year's Eve TV show called "Kohaku Uta Gassen."

Susan performed her signature tune "I Dreamed a Dream" after some light-hearted banter with the hosts of the show.

The 48-year-old, who says she hopes to find love in 2010, said "Wow," when asked what she thought of Japan.

It's incredible to think that this time last year no-one had ever heard of Susan Boyle.

Her audition for Britain's Got Talent in April blew the socks of Simon Cowell and an instantly-besotted global audience.

The YouTube video of her audition has been downloaded tens of millions of times while her debut album "I Dreamed a Dream," has already broken several major sales records.

Last week alone, the album sold an amazing 510,000 copies in the U.S., bringing the total sales to 1.8 million.

Just this week Susan told OK Magazine that she hoped to find love. "I dream about security, about one day finding the right person and continuing to make people happy with my music," she said.

"My advice to those who dare to dream is don't give up. If I can do it, anyone else can."
