Mullins, whose father hails from County Clare, continued to share further images of the intimate wedding including shots of her Olivier Theyskens gown.

The small wedding was originally due to take place in a field but it was moved to a compost shed because of the weather. The pair were joined by artist Ed Atkins, who officiated, and erotic jewelry designer Betony Vernon as a witness.

Mullins was born with the medical condition fibular hemimelia, which resulted to the amputation of her lower legs. She rose to fame following her success as an athlete. Possibly her most famous moment on the catwalk was when she walked for Alexander McQueen, while he was at Givenchy. He had intricately carved wooden legs made for Mullins.

She recently shared her family history with IrishCentral and Maureen Dowd. Her father, Brendan Mullins, was born in Crusheen, County Clare. He left Ireland when he was a teenager and married an America. He worked as a construction working in New York City before settling in Allentown, PA, where Aimee was born and raised.

Mullins who inherited a passion for construction from her County Clare father shares that passion with Friend. She told Down, in November, that the pair did up their co-op in London, housed in an old shoe factory, from the plumbing to the wood flooring. The couple also own an apartment in downtown Manhattan.

According to Vogue Mullins and Friend met in 2013 and announced their engagement at a L’Oreal Paris event, in December 2014.
