Grab your wands: Harry Potter conventions and events are coming to Ireland, and they look set to be spell-binding.

Irish towns will welcome a whole host of magic-enthusiasts in the coming months.

On July 31st, Kildare County Library Service will be transformed into a Hogwarts-esque haven. For children seven and over, the Library will host a magical event inspired by the famous school of Witchcraft and Wizardry - think dueling, History of Magic, Herbology, and Potions lessons a-plenty.

Similar style 'Potter-Con' type-events have had major success all over the world.

In a statement on Dublin Wizard Con's website, organizers promise "a really professional and fun event to you and give an annual home to gathering the houses and celebrating the amazing world JK Rowling created with her sublime vision."

The €30/day ticket includes wizard bingo, cosplay competitions, an interactive gameshow, Maurauder's Map treasure hunts, a Yule ball, and enchanted escape rooms.

An excuse to break out the Quidditch gear if we ever heard one!
