Irish model Rosanna Davison has now become the first ever Miss World winner to feature in a spread for Playboy in the US. This achievement also marks Davison as the first Irish woman to feature in Playboy's US magazine.

Additionally, she has also become only the second model in the world who featured in a European edition of the magazine to make it into the the American edition.
Breaking molds is not new for the 29-year-old Dubliner, as in 2003 she became the first Irish woman to win the Miss World pageant. In her Sunday column for The Sun, she said that she is ecstatic about the "double honor."
Playboy founder and international lothario Hugh Hefner made the request for her German photo shoot to be used for the new American spread.
Davison wrote that, "Shooting again for Playboy would have been amazing and probably a far less nerve-wracking experience the second time around.
"But I was really pleased to hear that the Mauritius beach shots would be used."
When she spoke to the Irish Independent after her first shoot for the German edition, Davison said that she felt more empowered as a result of doing the spread.
"Also, I was in control of every aspect of that shoot and I may not have been given such freedom and choice with a new shoot," she added in her column.
This past May, Davison flew out to the Playboy Mansion to meet with Hefner and his wife Crystal Harris. Davison was given a tour of the Mansion and the Grotto before sitting down to drinks and dinner with the magazine magnate, ending the night with a Charlie Chaplin film.
Davison said that her German management will recieve the magazine first and she won't have the chance to see it herself until she returns to Europe in September.
"It is hard to know what the reaction will be like," she said. "Either way, I'll have these pictures to look back on when I'm old and grey. Ultimately, I'm proud of myself for pushing my own boundaries."
The September issue of the magazine, featuring Davison, hits store shelves on August 16.
