Daniel O’Donnell is set to join a galaxy of stars for “The Late Late Show” country music special this Friday. Visit RTÉ Player International to watch the full show, individual interviews and a host of extras available worldwide from Friday evening.

Fresh from his stint in the British “Strictly” ballroom, Daniel will be giving his first major Irish television interview since he danced his way off the show. He’ll be chatting with host Ryan Tubridy about becoming even more of a household name in the United Kingdom and life as one of Ireland’s most iconic music stars. He’ll also be giving a very special performance of one of his most popular tracks.

Daniel will be joining the absolute cream of the Irish country scene to celebrate the music filling dance halls across the nation.

The man who started it all, Ireland’s king of country, Big Tom will be making a rare appearance. At nearly 80-years-old, Big Tom remains one of the biggest draws on the Irish country scene. And to top it off for country fans, he will be joined by The Mainliners as he performs his enduring hit “Four Country Roads.”

For recent country converts, current chart-topper Nathan Carter will be dropping in for a chat and to treat viewers to a very unique rendition of his famous hit “Wagon Wheel” while “Raggle Taggle Gypsy” singer Derek Ryan will also join Ryan in studio.

Other big names set to appear on Friday night’s show include Mike Denver, Philomena Begley, Ray Lynam,Declan Nerney and TR Dallas as well as the latest star on the country scene, Lisa McHugh.

And The Three Amigos – Jimmy Buckley, Robert Mizzell and Patrick Feeney - will be reuniting for the night.

“The Late Late Show” country music special has proved incredibly popular. It is one of the hottest tickets in town with the show inundated with requests for seats. Earlier this week, Midlands radio station Shannonside-Northern Sound ran a competition for two tickets and the flood of entries crashed their system.

“The Late Late Show” host Ryan Tubridy said “The response has been phenomenal and the line-up is huge. We have been actively promoting the country scene on The Late Late Show for the last six years, bringing classic acts to a new generation and introducing the big new names. Getting all those people into one room is going to be lots of fun”.

The Late Late Show airs on Fridays at 9.35pm (Irish Time). The show will be available online after airing.
