Though Ireland will not be in the mix this Friday when the World Cup draw is made in Cape Town, Charlize Theron, the longtime girlfriend of Irish actor/director Stuart Townsend, will help divide the 32 teams into eight groups.

The Oscar winning actress, who is from South Africa originally, will divvy up the teams with FIFA general secretary Jerome Valcke in front of an expected television audience of over 200 million.

Other high profile celebrities expected to attend the draw include soccer superstar David Beckham, Olympic gold medalist Haile Gebrselassie of Ethiopia and Nobel Peace prize winner Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

The 2010 World Cup will take place in South Africa from June 11 to July 11.
