Irish actresses Caitriona Balfe and Saoirse Ronan walked the red carpet the 76th Golden Globes Awards wearing Moschino and Gucci respectively.

Balfe, who was nominated in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama category for her work on Starz’s "Outlander", walked the red carpet wearing a custom gown by Moschino, a clutch by The Row and Jimmy Choo shoes. Balfe was celebrating a fourth nomination for her role as Claire Fraser in the Starz drama series.

Meanwhile, Saoirse Ronan smouldered in a plunging custom beaded sheer gown by Gucci, a gear-change from the romantically diaphanous pieces the actress has been wearing on the promo-trail for the new movie "Mary Queen of Scots".

The 24-year-old actress presented the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy award to Christian Bale for the film Vice.

Ronan is no stranger to the Globes red carpet, with a previous win for her role in 2018's "Ladybird", and two nominations in the bag – for 2016's "Brooklyn" and 2008's "Atonement"
