The cast for the upcoming film series was announced in April 2025 and includes our very own Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney alongside Keoghan.
The ensemble also includes Harris Dickinson, who was recently seen alongside Nicole Kidman in "Babygirl". He will play the legendary John Lennon.
Meanwhile, Joseph Quinn will transform from the Marvel "Fantastic Four" movies to the Fab Four, portraying George Harrison in the new and ambitious project to be directed by Sam Mendes.
Keoghan is rarely out of the entertainment pages of glossy magazines these days, whether it be for his infamous naked dance scene to the Sophie Ellis-Bextor track "Murder on the Dancefloor" in the movie "Saltburn", or his romantic entanglements with superstars like singer Sabrina Carpenter.
But now, it’s his new long locks that are making headlines, with the actor growing out his dark, wavy hair in preparation for the challenging role of transforming into the Liverpudlian drummer.
The Dublin native debuted the new look as he and several other big names attended the screening of the new thriller "Crime 101" in London on Wednesday.
While there was some criticism of Keoghan’s attempt at a Liverpool accent for his role in "Saltburn", many are intrigued to see how well he takes on the role of the beloved musician.
The four Beatles themselves will be played by Harris Dickinson (John Lennon), Paul Mescal (Paul McCartney), Joseph Quinn (George Harrison), and Barry Keoghan (Ringo Starr).
Each film will tell its own story but intersect to form a portrait of The Beatles’ rise, relationships, and cultural impact.
In preparation for their roles, both Mescal and Keoghan have met with their real-life counterparts.
"The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event" is set to be released in April 2028, with each film rolling out over a series of weeks.
