A Dublin woman is €50,000 richer after kind deed

A Dublin granny got a heaping scoop of the luck of the Irish after helping a homeless man.

The Sun reports that an elderly Irish woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, encountered a homeless man while waiting to meet a friend. She offered the man a bit of money to help him find a bed for the night, and in turn, the man told her that she would have a lucky Lotto ticket coming her way.

No one could have suspected just how quickly it would come to her though!

“I had a €20 win to collect on a previous scratch card so instead of taking the cash I decided to buy a €20 scratch card which I would never have had considered before," the lucky lotto winner said.

“When I finally met my friend for coffee, we started scratching it together at the table and we just couldn’t believe it as the €50,000 symbol appeared before our eyes.”

“We thought there was a mistake until we called the National Lottery,” she said.

“It has been a very emotional day and it’s a lot to take in but we’re going to enjoy it.”

“I haven’t even had time to process the win let alone think about what I’m going to do with the money,” she said.
