It's officially Awards Season again - here's how Irish actress Saoirse Ronan fared on her first red carpet appearance.

Her stellar turn in "Mary Queen of Scots" is already garnering rave reviews, and it could finally be Ronan's year to bag a well deserved Oscar statuette.

The Carlow native stepped out for the Governor's Awards, aka the Honorary Oscars, last night.

Her top stylist, Elizabeth Saltzman, opted for a form fitting, long-sleeved, turtleneck column gown by Calvin Klein.

The look signaled that the 24-year-old is likely to continue her relationship with Calvin Klein. The label's creative director, Raf Simons, was the man responsible for Ronan's baby pink number at the 2018 Academy Awards.

Ronan is also a face for the perfume, Calvin Klein Women, alongside Lupita Nyong'o.

While her wool, jersey dress from the brand's Pre-Spring 2019 collection was praised by many on social media, it also felt like a disservice.

Ronan's signature style is certainly mature, sophisticated, and elegant, yet this look aged her dramatically. Even details like Giuseppe Zanotti heels and Nikolas Koulis earrings did little to make the outfit more exciting.
