HERO OF THE WEEK
You may have heard that Noel Hunt has been trying to claim Robbie Keane’s equalizer in Bari the other night, but RTE footage has confirmed it was Keano’s goal and good luck to him. On a night when Ireland needed heroes, he stepped up to the plate with the strike that should finally silence those who claim he can’t score against the big teams.  They don’t come much bigger than Italy, so well done Robbie.

IDIOT OF THE WEEK
BBC presenter Clare Balding made an absolute fool of herself when she mocked the Grand National winning jockey Liam Treadwell about the state of his teeth immediately after his great win aboard 100-1 shot Mon Mome on Saturday. The BBC and Balding have since apologized, but she really should look in the mirror before Miss Balding decides to criticise someone’s facial appearance again. As a good friend of mine always says, even if the tide wouldn’t take her out! Boom. Boom.
