Rory McIlroy’s former girlfriend Holly Sweeney has moved on – and signed up as a model with a top Dublin agency.

The 22-year-old golfer split with his childhood sweetheart just weeks ago after meeting up with tennis superstar and world number one Caroline Wozniacki.

Sweeney is currently in the process of moving her things out of the mansion they lived in near McIlroy’s family home in Holywood, County Down.

Now she could be spending more time in Dublin than Belfast after signing up with the Assets Model Agency just days after she was photographed in a revealing skin-tight dress at a top nightclub.

Sweeney, a part-time cheerleader with the Ulster rugby team, confirmed: “Modeling is something that I never thought about before I was asked but I was asked to do it and it’s an ideal time to try new things.”

Assets boss Carol Farrelly believes Sweeney has all the attributes to make a big impression in the cut-throat business.

“We think she is going to do really well,” said Farrelly as Sweeney prepares for her first jobs with the Dublin based agency.
