The FAI have signed a new sponsorship deal with Umbro that could earn the association up to €34million in the next ten years.

The sportswear manufacturer will remain Ireland official kit sponsor until 2020, and will also manage the FAI’s on-line store and merchandising license programmes.

“I am very happy to agree an enhanced partnership with Umbro as official kit sponsor to the Irish team until 2020," said FAI Chief Executive John Delaney.

"Umbro are wonderful supporters of Irish football.

"Their commitment is demonstrated at all levels of the game and continued just last week with the opening of the first official Umbro FAI supporters store at Carrolls in Dublin’s Westmoreland Street where fans can buy international match tickets and the full range of Umbro clothing and giftware.

"Our ten year agreement with Umbro is part of a global trend towards long term deals which will deliver a guaranteed annual revenue stream, vital for the development of our game at grassroots level.”
