Reports in Venezuela claim that Celtic have made an approach for Real Mallorca forward Juan Arango.

The 29-year-old, who represents the South American country at international level, has been strongly linked with a possible move to The Premier League in recent weeks.

But now it appears that new Bhoys manager Tony Mowbray is looking to recruit the man who scored seven goals in 37 games in La Liga last season.

Reports in his homeland claim Celtic have already made a formal offer and that a bid of €4 million (£3.4 million) could be enough to sign the player.

However, both Borussia Monchengladbach and Trabzonspor are also reported to be interested in Arango.
