To welcome the thousands of American Football fans descending on Dublin this coming weekend, the Irish Food Board will be running a food tasting stand in Temple Bar.
On Saturday September 1st, Bord Bia will be participating in the Navy V Notre Dame Tailgate event in the heart of the nation’s capital.
Based at Crowe’s Lane beside the entrance to Smock Alley Theatre in Temple Bar, Bord Bia will be on hand to offer a taste of Irish food to visiting tourists.

Tens of thousands of fans are expected to attend the Navy versus Notre Dame American Football game in Dublin’s Aviva Stadium this coming Saturday.
“Bord Bia are delighted to welcome our American visitors to our Taste Ireland stand in Temple Bar, Dublin, this coming September 1st,” says Karen Coyle, North America market manager with Bord Bia, the Irish Food Board.
A tasting menu will include Cashel Blue Irish Farmhouse Cheese on stout brown bread with red pepper relish; Irish Smoked Salmon on treacle brown bread served with horseradish lemon cream; Quality Assured Prime Irish Beef on focaccia bread served with Ballymaloe relish and Fresh Irish Artisan Apple Juice.

In 2011, Irish food and drink exports received a 12 percent boost. In their Export Performance and Prospect for 2011/2012, Bord Bia noted that during the first nine months of 2011, “food and drink exports increased at three times the rate of total merchandise exports.”
