On Saturday June 16 at Pope John Paul Park in Dorchester, St. Brendan’s GAC hosted it's first annual Gaelic football and hurling blitz.
The games kicked off around 10am and ran until 4pm. Teams from six different clubs participated in football and hurling games in age groups ranging from under six right up to under fourteen. The teams who took part were St. Brendan’s, Trinity, ISYL, Portland Maine, Na Fianna and Wayland.
The club would like to thank the various adult football and hurling clubs who supplied us with some of there players to help us out with refereeing duties on the day. The day could not have been such a great success without the massive work of our club members,
both in the lead up to and on the day of the blitz. Thanks again to all the clubs who attended and we are looking forward to hosting a similar event next year. St Brendan’s continue to train on Tuesday and Thursday evening at 6pm at the Pope John Paul Park in Dorchester. All are welcome to attend. Call Richie 617-293-7339 for more info.
