Jubilant Clare supporters attended the Cara Club
in Brighton this week. There were noticeable broad smiles and lively spirits as Clare’s pulsating performance was discussed, dissected and celebrated. Pat Ahern, a proud Clare man, who has witnessed many years worth of All Ireland's, stated it was the ‘greatest one he’s ever seen’. It would be very hard to disagree, and that’s coming from a proud Cork woman. It’s wonderful to see what the spirit of the GAA
can do to men and women who left Ireland behind in the 1950’s and 60’s, but hold hurling dearly and fiercely in their hearts.
Maith thú and congratulations to Clare but don’t get too fond of Liam, the Leeside of Cork will have him back next year!
