Cara Club
We had a good turnout for the Cara Club as always. Mary McNamara an attorney in estate law joined us to reiterate the importance of will making, power of attorney and a health care proxy. Mary also answered everyone’s questions and queries. Once again thanks to Mary for her time and knowledge. Kevin O’Sullivan led us for our sing-a-long with some old Irish favorites. Special thanks to all the volunteers who as usual made the afternoon so special. Next week join us for movie afternoon with some Irish comedians! Looking forward to seeing you all there!
Dorchester Coffee Morning
Café Eireann had a great turn out of about 50 people. As usual the morning was a great success, meeting new friends and old over tea and freshly baked goodies. Sr. Consilio from Cuan Mhuire in Ireland joined us for some chat. She enthralled the group with the story of how Cuan Mhuire became one of the biggest voluntary providers of rehabilitative care for people with addictions in Ireland. Special thanks to Sr. Consilio for her time and words! Also huge thanks to the time and energy given by the volunteers who made this week such a success. Next week we will have the pleasure of being joined by Mary McNamara who will inform our seniors in Café Eireann of the importance of will making and power of attorney. Hopefully see you all there!
Monthly Mass and Luncheon
The monthly mass and luncheon at the Irish Cultural Centre in ICCNE was packed to capacity. All present enjoyed the lively event with new friends and old, a lovely meal and lively entertainment. Music and entertainment was provided by John Connors and Martin Battle who kept the crowd on the dance floor with old Irish favorites’. A big thanks to the band and all the volunteers in Canton who make the event such an enjoyable day! The next mass and luncheon is November 15th and please RSVP to 855-479-2472 to avoid disappointment. See you all soon!
