This past Saturday, we welcomed our second Clanrye Wider Horizons group of 2013 to Boston. There was great excitement as the group arrived at Logan Airport. Afterwards the group were treated to a quick introduction to Boston and brought to meet their host families at a small get together hosted by the IIIC “They are always so nervous meeting their host families for the first time but within minutes of meeting each other, they become comfortable and by the time they leave the IIIC that same day with their new families, it is like they are old friends. It really is remarkable and touching to watch”, notes IIIC Director of Learning Exchange Programs Ann-Marie Byrne who traveled to Newry in June to meet the group during their pre-departure training.
