Simon Cowell, the acid tongued impresario that people love to hate, has admitted that he 'felt bad' about the alleged breakdown suffered by 'Britain's Got Talent' star Susan Boyle after she failed to win last year.

The Scottish singer had to recuperate at The Priory clinic following the finals of the talent show last May.

Now the British entertainment mogul has insisted that this year's hopefuls will have the benefit of additional support before and after the show to help them cope with the pressures of fame and rejection.

Cowell told the English press that he especially regretted Susan's breakdown: 'I don't want that to happen again. I feel especially bad about Susan. She buckled under the pressure and you suddenly realize: 'I haven't thought about this person as a human being.'

Considering the comments he's thrown at guests on both 'American Idol' and 'Britain's Got Talent' over the years, it's hardly a surprise to read he never thought of them as human. Let's hope he mends his ways!
