Mel Gibson and ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva
Mel Gibson and ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva have been given an extension to conclude their custody arrangement.

The Hollywood actor's lawyers have reportedly asked for more time to work on the details of a settlement agreement between the pair - who split up in June 2010 - which was made in August and was due to go before the family court judge tomorrow for final approval.

According to gossip website TMZ.com, there is still a disagreement as to how the final settlement - which states the couple will share equal custody of their 23-month-old daughter Lucia, with the Hollywood actor paying the Russian-born singer $750,000 - is worded.

Judge Scott Gordon has given the pair an extension until November 1st to sort out any differences.

Judge Peter Lichtman concluded the details of the agreement in August, stating Oksana and Lucia will stay at the home they are currently living in - which was purchased by Mel - and the actor is permitted to visit his daughter at the property at any time as long as a designated person is with him.

But when Lucia turns 18 the house will be sold with all the proceeds going to her.

The judge also ruled Mel and Oksana are not permitted to speak or write about their turbulent relationship.
