The 'Enjoy the Silence' singer has only had one romance in her lifetime, almost thirty years ago, and admits her quest for a man hasn't improved with her fame.
The only guy Susan really has a crush on is singer Donny Osmond, who is married to Debra Glenn.
She told The Sun newspaper: "I'm on my own quite a lot and that special person hasn't come along yet. I've had a few offers in the post and, let me tell you, some of them are beauties.
"And some of the photographs I've been sent - oh my God! Let's just say they were not suitable for me. Only Donny Osmond has really caught my eye - but he's spoken for."
The 50-year-old star – who was catapulted into the limelight in 2009 after appearing on 'Britain's Got Talent' - lives with her cat Pebbles, but her success has meant she is less shy than she used to be.
She added: "It's made me grow up a bit, it's made me more confident and sociable. I was painfully shy before but now it's getting to the stage where people can't shut me up.
"Sometimes you have periods of self-doubt where you think you're not worthy of all this and retreat into yourself. But I think I now know how to cope with the pressure better than two years ago. I've had a bit of a blip now and again but you learn and become better at what you do."
However, Susan has found it hard to leave her old life behind, and despite buying a £300,000 property near to the house where she grew up in West Lothian, Scotland, she finds it too "posh" and prefers to stay in her childhood home, a small former council owned dwelling.
She added: "I've got two houses, the council house and the new one. But I like my mother's house. It's where I started. I want to be in my own community, in my mother's house. The posh house gets used for rehearsing and that's about it."
