Rush Limbaugh reacted to Bill O’Reilly’s comments this week that those opposed to same-sex marriage haven’t been able to do anything apart from “thump a Bible.”

The host of ‘The O’Reilly Factor’ on FOX News was commenting on the ongoing DOMA hearings in the Supreme Court.

O’Reilly said on Fox on Tuesday, “The compelling argument is on the side of homosexuals,”

Adding: “That’s where the compelling argument is. ‘We’re Americans. We just want to be treated like everybody else.’ That’s a compelling argument, and to deny that, you have got to have a very strong argument on the other side. The argument on the other side hasn’t been able to do anything but thump the Bible.”

Reacting to his remarks, conservative pundit Rush Limbaugh said his comments marginalized Fox News viewers.

Limbaugh said on his show Wednesday: “So how many of you who watch Fox are Bible thumpers?

“Do you think there are any Bible thumpers that watch Fox? Because last night you were sort of marginalized on ‘The Factor’ as not having a compelling argument and just being a bunch of Bible thumpers.”

The Supreme Court heard the oral arguments this week for two same sex cases on Tuesday and Wednesday. A ruling is not expected until June.
