Radio host Rush Limbaugh made an assertion during one of his recent radio shows that President Obama is “fixated” on Limbaugh.

Limbaugh explained on his talk show that he had received an email from a friend which said that President Obama had said the reason he can’t get anything done is because of Limbaugh.

Obama was at a fundraiser attended by celebrities Justin Timberlake and wife Jessica Biel when he made the comments that he can’t get anything done because of Limbaugh.

"My thinking was when we beat them in 2012 that might break the fever, and it’s not quite broken yet," Obama said, according to the White House pool report.

"I genuinely believe there are Republicans out there who would like to work with us but they’re fearful of their base and they’re concerned about what Rush Limbaugh might say about them. And as a consequence we get the kind of gridlock that makes people cynical about government."

Limbaugh, of course, jumped all over the comments and reacted to them on his radio show.

"[Obama] is fixated on me," Limbaugh said. "He simply cannot get me off his mind. I live rent free in his head. And he is using me as his convenient excuse for not being able to get anything done."
