Bill O’Reilly, host of ‘The O’Reilly Factor’ on FOX News, said on Tuesday that those in favor of same-sex marriage have presented the more compelling argument in the brewing battle that is currently being debated in the Supreme Court.
“The compelling argument is on the side of homosexuals,” admits O’Reilly to his guest, FOX News host and attorney Megyn Kelly.
“The other side hasn’t been able to do anything but thump the bible,” added O’Reilly.
His admission presents a shift from previous comments the FOX host has made regarding same-sex marriage. Three years ago, O’Reilly compared same-sex marriage to beastiality.
This week on his show, however, he said that gay marriage doesn’t bother him one way or another. He adds that he lives in New York, where gay marriage is legal, and that he believes all American people deserve to be happy.
