There must be some red faces at the New York City District Council of Carpenters this morning!

The council has tried to take down its Web site after chief Michael Forde was indicted in a huge investigation into corruption at
the Big Apple's carpenters union.

Not to mention the fact that the national union has fired Forde, 54, business manager and Local 608 president John Greaney, 49, and business agent and local 608 officer Brian Hayes, 38.

Unfortunately, there is no hiding place on the web as these pictures show.

The District Council's site says it's "under construction" at http://www.nycdistrictcouncil.com/

But you can still see the council extol Forde's 'leadership' values at http://www.nycdistrictcouncil.com/go.php/on/static/page/leadership

Some leadership huh?

Given the charges Forde at al are facing, maybe someone didn't pay enough to removed Forde from the site?!!
