The Irish Labour Party may be close to collapse with the latest poll published by the Irish Times showing its level of support at only 6 percent going into the Friday 26th election.
Sinn Féin is at 15 per cent, down four points, which is the lowest level recorded for the party in an Irish Times/Ipsos MRBI survey in more than four years.
Labour's coalition partners, Fine Gael, are unchanged at 28 per cent while Fianna Fáil are up two points to 23 percent and the Independents and Others rise three points to 28 percent. The figure for Dublin in the Independent category is 41 percent.
The poor showing for Sinn Féin comes in the wake of media interviews with party leader Gerry Adams where he appeared confused when asked about the details of the party's fiscal policies.
Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin has improved his satisfaction rating by 8 points to 35 percent, while Taoiseach and Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny is unchanged at 32 percent, Gerry Adams is down one point to 27 percent and Labour leader Joan Burton drops four points to 25 percent.
