Georgi Petrov Dochev, the 25-year-old man who Stephen Gately and his husband took home with them on the night the Boyzone star mysteriously died, has spoken about discovering the body of the Irish pop star on Saturday.

"I found Stephen dead and I woke his husband. Stephen was white and very cold when I found him. I am still nervous and really upset,” Dochev is quoted as saying in the British newspaper The Daily Mail.

Gately and his partner Andy Cowles met Dochev at a gay nightclub in Palma last Friday night, and invited him back to their holiday home in Majorca afterward.

Dochev has been traumatized since the discovery, saying, "I almost have not slept since this happened."

The Bulgarian would not go into details of what went on that night before the discovery adding:

"This is not something that I want to talk about. All I will say is that there's a lot of rubbish being printed.

"Andy and I have been interviewed by the police. But I don't want to say anything else without checking first with him.'

A post-mortem examination of Stephen Gately’s body will be carried out on Tuesday.

Boyzone members Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham and Shane Lynch flew out to Spain on Sunday night to visit the apartment where their bandmate Gately died.
