Irish fans of Leonardo DiCaprio plan on throwing themselves an almighty party if their guy picks up the Best Actor statue at Sunday’s Oscars – he’s the heavy favorite for his star turn in The Revenant.

There’s a Facebook meet up page aimed at Leo diehards asking them to gather at the Spire on O’Connell Street in Dublin at midnight on Monday morning. The event will replicate similar Leo-centric gatherings at the same time in Barcelona and Madrid.

“Spread the word and make this go viral. C’mon, let’s go crazy together,” the page advises.

The bash will go on till 3 a.m. Irish time, at which point the Best Actor Oscar may or may not have been awarded.

Nonetheless, on Monday afternoon the Facebook page had 6,900 confirmed attendees, with 14,000 expressing an interest.

Who knew Leo had such a fanatical Irish fan base? And a bigger question: how come no one’s throwing a shindig for all the Irish Oscar contenders like Saoirse Ronan and Michael Fassbender?
