Jamie Dornan was an award winner last weekend too – but it’s not the kind of accolade an actor would brag about.
Dornan and his Fifty Shades of Grey co-star Dakota Johnson swept the field at the annual Golden Raspberry Awards, AKA the Razzies. J&D scooped the individual acting dishonors, as well as the “worst screen combo” prize. Fifty, unsurprisingly was also named worst picture, along with another stinker, Fantastic 4.
If misery loves company, Jamie shouldn’t feel too bad. The esteemed Eddie Redmayne, winner of last year’s Best Actor Academy Award and a nominee this year too, earned a Razzie for worst supporting actor for his role in Jupiter Ascending.
The backers of Fifty Shades are laughing all the way to the bank. The film was one of last year’s highest earners, and has just started production in Vancouver on parts two and three of the trilogy, with Jamie and Dakota back to finish what they started.
