Irish hat designer Philip Treacy was in incredible demand at the royal wedding. Treacy who hails from Ahascragh, County Galway, has designed hats for celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker and Lady Gaga, among others.

After the announcement of the royal engagement and subsequent wedding, the rumor mill went into full force with reports circulating that Kate had recruited Treacy to design the hats for the wedding party.

Though Kate ended up wearing a one-of-a-kind diamond tiara, lent by the Queen herself, a vast array of Treacy’s hand crafted millinery work was on full display thanks to members of the wedding party and other attendees.

Victoria Beckham wore a military blue pillbox hat to go with the midnight blue dress from her own collection, while Camilla Parker Bowles wore a cream hat to match her own outfit.

Not everyone was able to come out on the Best Dressed side with Treacy's help, however. Sisters Eugenie and Beatrice, daughters of Prince Andrew, looked a tad bit out of place and overwhelmed by their head pieces. Treacy is known for his flamboyantly outrageous work, but unfortunately for the princesses, they looked more drab than fab.

Although most will be talking about Kate's Sarah Burton-designed wedding dress for the days and weeks to come, Treacy is a clear winner in the fashion stakes of the Royal Wedding, and is undoubtedly set to become a household name.
